(mis \u00e0 jour)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.maximejohnson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/hp-touchpad-horizon.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir abandonn\u00e9 la division mat\u00e9rielle de WebOS obtenue en faisant l\u2019acquisition de Palm l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, HP vient enfin d\u2019offrir une bonne nouvelle aux amateurs de cet excellent syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;exploitation: WebOS ne sera pas abandonn\u00e9 (ou plut\u00f4t vendu pour une bouch\u00e9e de pain), et son code source sera ouvert, ce qui devrait permettre \u00e0 n&rsquo;importe quel fabricant d&rsquo;utiliser le syst\u00e8me dans ses t\u00e9l\u00e9phones et ses tablettes, un peu \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re d&rsquo;Android.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 Google par contre, qui d\u00e9veloppe Android de fa\u00e7on propri\u00e9taire avant d&rsquo;ouvrir le code source par la suite, HP semble plut\u00f4t int\u00e9ress\u00e9 \u00e0 ouvrir la porte \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 du logiciel ouvert et \u00e0 ses partenaires pour poursuivre le travail \u00e0 long terme sur le syst\u00e8me. HP devrait \u00e9galement contribuer au d\u00e9veloppement de WebOS, mais on ignore pour l&rsquo;instant jusqu&rsquo;o\u00f9 ira (et se chiffrera) sa participation.  <\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;ouverture du code source ne signifie pas du tout la survie \u00e0 long terme du syst\u00e8me, ni une \u00e9volution gracieuse, mais il s&rsquo;agit clairement d&rsquo;un pas dans la bonne direction. Surtout que les perspectives pour WebOS n&rsquo;\u00e9taient pas tr\u00e8s reluisantes jusqu&rsquo;ici.<\/p>\n<p>HP n\u2019a pas encore annonc\u00e9 de partenaire mat\u00e9riel pour son syst\u00e8me d\u2019exploitation. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Mise \u00e0 jour: d&rsquo;autres Touchpad en vue!<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Verge a obtenu <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2011\/12\/9\/2624209\/meg-whitman-marc-andreessen-web-os-open-source-interview\">une entrevue exclusive tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressante <\/a>avec la PDG de HP Meg Whitman et l&rsquo;administrateur de la compagnie Marc Andreessen. <\/p>\n<p>Selon Whitman, HP n&rsquo;abandonnerait finalement pas la cr\u00e9ation de nouveau mat\u00e9riel WebOS. La compagnie devrait en effet lancer d&rsquo;autres tablettes WebOS dans le futur (mais pas de t\u00e9l\u00e9phones intelligents), peut-\u00eatre en 2012, mais peut-\u00eatre aussi plus tard.  <\/p>\n<p>Voici le communiqu\u00e9  de HP sur l&rsquo;ouverture de WebOS : <\/p>\n<p><em>HP to Contribute webOS to Open Source<\/p>\n<p>HP to enable creativity of the community to accelerate the next-generation web-centric platform<\/p>\n<p>PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 9, 2011 \u2013 HP today announced it will contribute the webOS software to the open source community.<\/p>\n<p>HP plans to continue to be active in the development and support of webOS. By combining the innovative webOS platform with the development power of the open source community, there is the opportunity to significantly improve applications and web services for the next generation of devices.<\/p>\n<p>webOS offers a number of benefits to the entire ecosystem of web applications. For developers, applications can be easily built using standard web technologies. In addition, its single integrated stack offers multiplatform portability. For device manufacturers, it provides a single web-centric platform to run across multiple devices. As a result, the end user benefits from a fast, immersive user experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cwebOS is the only platform designed from the ground up to be mobile, cloud-connected and scalable,\u201d said Meg Whitman, HP president and chief executive officer. \u201cBy contributing this innovation, HP unleashes the creativity of the open source community to advance a new generation of applications and devices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>HP will make the underlying code of webOS available under an open source license.
